J Train Jazz

Elegant Music for Your Special Occasions

J Train is a collaboration of experienced jazz musicians in the DC metro area. The group has performed at restaurants, clubs, hotels, the Ronald Reagan International Trade Center, the Arts Club of Washington, and many homes. J Train’s primary musical focus is jazz standards and bossa novas – the music that comprises the Great American Songbook. Think George and Ira Gershwin, Duke Ellington, Cole Porter, and Antonio Carlos Jobim and you’ll be headed in our direction. Some pop and blues tunes are also mixed in.  Click here for a selected playlist.

J Train is available as a jazz trio (sax, piano or guitar, and bass) as well as solo piano and solo guitar. We can add drums and/or vocals.  Listen to a solo piano clip here.  Watch the trio here.
